Itinerary / Days
DAY 1- CAGLIARI: Visit the underground city and the famous ponds as well as the ancient districts telling stories about shop owners, merchants, sailors and craftsmen. Taste the typical gastronomic specialities.
DAY 2- SULCIS: Drive along the wonderful Roman coast road, visit the old railway station in Nora and the village of Chia with its beautiful beaches. Enjoy a taste of the sea eating fresh seafood and drinking local wine.
DAY 3- SOUTHERN SULCIS AND ITS STORIES: Listen to the fascinating stories about labour in the coal mines and visit the prehistoric “Montessu Necropolis” along with the interior unexplored territories. Eat and drink typical country specialities.
DAY 4- THE ANCIENT SULKY: Enjoy the rationalist architectural design of the twentieth century in Carbonia together with the Roman and Punic ruins in Sant’Antioco. In addition eat fresh seafood and drink local wine.
DAY 5- IGLESIAS AND ITS TERRITORY: Visit the “Nuragic Village” of Seruci, the local ports, the coal mines and the Medieval city of Iglesias. Taste genuine dishes of Mediterranean cuisine.
DAY 6- CAGLIARI:THE SEVEN HILL CITY; Walk along the narrow streets in the district of “Castello”, visit the beautiful “Sella del Diavolo” (the devil’s saddle), “Monte Urpinu” Park and the city Towers. Enjoy the sights of Sardinia’s Capital from the top of the city and taste its typical dishes.
